Audiologist
Dr. Garrett was born and raised in American Fork. His family has a long tradition of serving the health needs of the residents of Utah County (his grandfather was Dr. Guy Richards). Following his LDS mission to the deaf in the Boston Massachusetts Mission, he decided to pursue Audiology as a profession. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Communicative Disorders from Utah State University, a Master of Science in Audiology from Brigham Young University, and his Doctor of Audiology from the Salus University. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Audiology and certified by the American Speech Language-Hearing Association.
Prior to opening Timpanogos Hearing & Balance, Dr. Garrett worked for Sonic Innovations in the Customer Care division working with and training hearing professionals across the country to ensure their patient’s hearing aids were working correctly. He also split his time working in the research department at Sonic Innovations. He has served as a mentor for Audiology interns from Utah State University and has lectured Audiology graduate students at Brigham Young University. Dr. Garrett is the Director of Audiology for America Helps (a humanitarian relief organization for Africa) and is active in Local and International Service through Rotary International. He is also actively works with the American Diabetes Association.
In his spare time, Dr. Garrett enjoys cycling, golf and amateur radio. He is married to Kimberlee Bennett from Highland and has 3 children.
