The most common reason a hearing aids stop working is a plugged-up filter. Doug, an audiology assistant, explains how to change the domes and filters on your Oticon hearing aids to keep them working properly. (Note: the devices Doug shows are Oticon, but most hearing aids have a very similar process.)

The takeaway? If your hearing aid stops working (you can't hear even the start-up music), change the filter first and chances are, you'll be back in business! As always, stop in and we are happy to take care of that for you- it's part of the concierge service we offer to all patients!
