DO THESE SOUND FAMILIAR?
You May Need More Than a Basic Hearing Test
Many people are told their hearing is “normal” even though they struggle to follow conversations, understand speech in restaurants, hear television clearly, or manage persistent tinnitus.
Conversations Feel Muffled
You hear people talking but can’t quite make out the words, especially in groups or noisy restaurants.
TV Volume Keeps Rising
Family members complain the TV is too loud, but you can’t understand dialogue without it cranked up.
Asking “What?” Constantly
You find yourself asking people to repeat themselves, or just nodding along when you didn’t catch it.
Ringing in Your Ears
A persistent ringing, buzzing, or hissing (tinnitus) that won’t go away, often linked to hearing loss.
Exhausted After Social Events
Straining to hear all day is draining. Listening fatigue is a real sign your ears are working overtime.
Trouble Focusing & Remembering
Untreated hearing loss is linked to cognitive decline. Your brain works harder when it can’t hear clearly.
Recognize 2 or more? Don’t wait, untreated hearing loss gets worse and affects your health.
What Makes Our Evaluation Different
We Look Beyond the Beeps
A traditional hearing test is important, but it does not always reveal how well you understand speech in real-world situations. Our evaluations are designed to uncover what is happening in quiet, in background noise, and in daily communication.
Understand where hearing or tinnitus is affecting your life.
Otoscopy and tympanometry help identify physical or medical concerns.
Measure hearing sensitivity across frequencies.
Evaluate how clearly you process words.
Measure how well you understand conversation in realistic background noise.
Explore factors that may affect listening and communication.
Tinnitus Specialization
Tinnitus Care That Goes Beyond “Learn to Live With It”
Tinnitus does not have one cause or one universal solution. Effective care begins with understanding your hearing, nervous system, symptoms, triggers, sleep, stress, and daily impact.
Specialized tinnitus evaluation
Hearing treatment when hearing loss is contributing
Sound-therapy strategies
CBT-based education and coaching
Tinnitus Retraining Therapy principles
Lenire evaluation when clinically appropriate
Mindfulness and lifestyle support
Ongoing monitoring and treatment adjustments
Recognized Consistently Across Utah
See Why Utah Has Named Us Best of State 15 Times
Awards are not the reason patients choose us, but they are evidence that our clinical approach, patient experience, and commitment to long-term care have been recognized consistently across Utah. The Best of State awards recognize outstanding organizations across Utah. Timpanogos Hearing & Tinnitus has been named a winner in the Auditory Services category 15 times.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Questions? We Have Answers.
Can I request an appointment before the clinic opens?
Yes. We are accepting appointment requests now and building our opening schedule. Submit the form above and our team will contact you.
Do you treat tinnitus?
Yes. Care begins with a specialized tinnitus evaluation and may involve multiple evidence-based treatment options, including hearing treatment, sound therapy, CBT-based coaching, and Lenire for appropriate candidates.
Do I need a physician referral?
Usually not, although some insurance plans or medical situations may require one. Our team can help you determine what applies to you.
Do you sell hearing aids?
Yes — but our care doesn’t stop at the device. We provide diagnosis, prescription-based fitting, Real Ear verification, auditory rehabilitation, and long-term follow-up care, not just devices.
What happens during a hearing evaluation?
Your evaluation begins with a conversation about your concerns and lifestyle, followed by an ear examination, comprehensive hearing testing, speech-understanding testing, and clear recommendations based on your results and goals.
